As a tour guide and a native San Diegan, my goal is to give visitors a memorable experience in San Diego that they will not get on their own or with anyone else. I accomplish this by sharing local stories and extensive knowledge of what makes this coastal city unique and different from any other city in America. Combined with my sense of adventure and flexibility I am able to customize the experience to any size group, age or interest. Roger Nys is an adventurous retiree who is excited to share his knowledge of San Diego with visitors. A native New Englander, he is well-traveled and lived in cities across the country including Boston, Washington, Detroit, and San Francisco. His career included administrative posts in government, universities, and biomedical research. His first tour guide experience began in San Francisco where he led walking tours of Golden Gate Park. Relocated to Southern California, he volunteers at Balboa Park providing walking tours on history and architecture, and also volunteers at the San Diego International Airport. As a Road Scholar Group Leader, he conducts week-long San Diego tours. And he is certified to lead city bus tours for cruise ship visitors.

Patti has been an ambassador for the city of San Diego almost her entire life (since she was 7 years old) and a certified tour guide for 6 years. She takes great pride when traveling the world and meeting people who are still touched by their visit to San Diego. After a few of these encounters, Patti thought “what better way to spread the love of San Diego but by becoming a tour guide.” San Diegans are lucky to live in a city with perfect weather and this wonderful weather is accentuated with the iconic attractions and sights around the city. Being a tour guide combines the passion of history (and continual learning through reading and attending lectures) and being with people to share the history and stories of San Diego. Kerstin Liedberg has been living in San Diego for the last 30 years. She enjoys sharing her experiences with travelers and telling them about California. In 2020 she was certified as a Tour-Director and guide for Trip School and she is certified as accredited hospitality professional with San Diego Professional Tour Guide Association. Kerstin’s background consist of several years’ experience within the hospitality and travel industries. She has extensive travel experiences, having traveled around the world as a flight attendant and lived in Europe and Asia for many years. While living in Japan, she enjoyed teaching English to businessmen. Everywhere Kerstin has been, she was curious about the people’s cultures and lifestyles. Being able to speak English, French, and Swedish has allowed her to connect with many people of different backgrounds. She believes she can improve the world by helping people relate to and respect each other through their shared experiences.

Bleu retired from a career with the USPS in 2019 and dove straight into the hospitality industry.  She has always loved history and exploring wherever she traveled, sharing with her friends and loved ones her discoveries.  Now she enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for beautiful San Diego with everyone!  Bleu is available as a guide on city tours.  She also works with the cruise terminal and with destination management companies at the San Diego Convention Center. Bleu is a volunteer guide for the Gaslamp Quarter Historical Foundation and the guide for the Lambda Archives Hillcrest Tours.  She also volunteers as an Airport Ambassador. Bleu is a people person with a huge sense of fun.  She has a smile for whoever she meets and believes everyone should be treated with love, kindness, compassion and respect.

Suzanne is a native Californian with considerable travel experience throughout the state as well as international travel in Europe, Mexico, Costa Rica, China and Japan. Living, working and raising her family in San Diego County for the last 38 years has deepened her knowledge and understanding of San Diego’s rich and unique history, its iconic buildings and museums, parks and neighborhoods, and its stunning miles of coastline with numerous beautiful, public beaches. Suzanne has extensive professional experience in Customer Service, Retail, Convention Centers, Events, Travel Hospitality, Tourism, Transportation, Cruise Ship Embark and Debark Operations and DMC services. Suzanne maintains a current TWIC card, USA passport and California Driver’s License. She is an avid walker and a real enthusiast for the truly special outdoor environments found all over San Diego county.  Because she has lived in the North County area of San Diego for 38 years, she has a local’s “insider” knowledge about the hidden gems: beaches; parks; scenic sites; plus eateries, breweries and wineries as well. Suzanne is a passionate ambassador for the fair city of San Diego.  She relishes the opportunity to share with visitors a transformational travel experience of San Diego’s historic sites, world famous venues, fascinating neighborhoods and breath-taking landscapes.

Mark has led tours throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe over his over 35 years in the travel industry, but says there are so many wonderful sites to see right in his home city of San Diego and Southern California.  He has worked with a variety of tour groups including seniors, students as well as convention groups.  As a business and culinary school graduate, he enjoys combining his passion for food with his travel career and specializes in food-focused tours. Keri has been a local tour guide in San Diego since 1985. She is always happy to share facts, history, current events, trivia and stories about our city. She is flexible and able to accommodate most itinerary needs. She also drives a bus, so is in tune with the drivers, and works well with out-of-town drivers that may not know their way around. Besides San Diego, Keri also does many tours to Los Angeles, Hollywood, Palm Springs, Anza Borrego Desert, and over the road tours of California, the Pacific NW, the Southwest and national parks. People say she is enthusiastic, organized and fun!

Jaymie has nearly two decades of experience in tourism. A natural storyteller, she came to tour guiding after completing her Bachelors in French and spending two years managing the Provence Regional Tourist Board for the French Government Tourist Office.  She fell in love with group travel while accompanying tour operators and journalists on familiarization tours and press trips and began to wonder if there was a way to travel for a living. This led her into a career in tour management. In 2006, she attended the International Tour Management Institute, and went on to lead tours for Adventures by Disney in Italy & France for four wonderful years.  In 2010, Jaymie met her husband and relocated to his native city of San Diego. What a wonderful place to call home! She has also lived in her native Michigan, France, Chicago, Las Vegas, New York, and Italy.  Jaymie is fluent in French and Italian. She is available for step-on tours of San Diego and San Diego County, meetings & events, airport meet & greets, and transfers. Jaymie has DMC experience, both in-house and on-site, as well as group travel operations experience from initial proposal through tour completion. Jaymie excels in dispatching, transportation, and hospitality desk. Since becoming an active local guide she has assisted with well over 500 conventions & events throughout San Diego. Jaymie has conducted hundreds of motor coach city tours for the cruise lines and is happy to serve as an ambassador for San Diego.
